Product description
FEDEER Connect is a fully digital cold wire feeder for automated and robotic applications. It can operate as auxiliary equipment for TIG AC/DC, Plasma Weld, and laser applications, supporting wire diameters from 0.6 to 1.6 mm.
FEDEER Connect is designed for automatic operation under control of an external device. A 12 VDC control input allows an external system to switch the working cycle START/STOP and adjust the cold wire feeding speed in steps. The feeder can therefore be connected to a higher-level control system, including a welding robot, and controlled through analog commands from the host system. Technological feeding functions and parameters are set directly in the FEDEER Connect control system.
A durable, self-supporting housing welded from sheet steel protects the internal components. A four-roller wire feeder is located behind the steel door, with the control electronics mounted on the opposite side. The wire-feeding connection is located at the front.
A recessed control panel at the top displays parameter settings and helps protect the electronics from accidental damage. System connections are located at the rear. A plastic cover protects the K 300 wire spool, with a maximum spool load of 20 kg. The unit is mounted on a four-wheeled chassis with front swivel wheels. An integrated carrying handle allows the unit to be moved in a balanced position.
The wire-feeding system developed by HST CREATIVE is protected by an approved utility model and combines a four-roller wire feeder with a specially designed, digitally controlled driver. The driver is designed to provide stable wire feeding even during rapid forward and reverse wire oscillation up to the feeding frequency limit.
FEDEER Connect uses a dedicated control system with a single display and multifunction button for access to its functions and settings. The feeder is equipped with a controlled valve for opening and closing the forming gas supply. A torch with fixed wire feeding into the weld can also be connected.
FEDEER Connect is designed to simplify automated and stationary welding applications, increase productivity, reduce welding-material costs, and improve production quality. Its external-control capability provides a cost-effective way to integrate cold wire feeding into robotic and other automated welding systems.
The feeding system also handles aluminum wire without wire damage and supports forward and reverse wire oscillation up to the feeding frequency limit. Precise feeding and display of the volumetric wire feed rate in mm³/min also make the device suitable for laser welding. A single display and multifunction button provide straightforward operation, with settings tailored to different welding processes.
