MILLER 3850 HT is the high-torque and most powerful version of our heavy-duty rotary welding positioner and manipulator in the MILLER family. This version also features a stand design with a 1000 mm working plate height and a maximum working load of 3850 kg. The machine is designed for circumferential welding and product manipulation under demanding industrial conditions across all sectors. The HT version provides significantly increased spindle drive torque, making it particularly suitable for production programs that regularly operate near the upper load limit of the machine or for applications where eccentric loading from the loaded product is expected.
It is a highly developed system built to a high construction standard, extending the capabilities of rotary positioners beyond conventional limits. This rotary positioner is characterized by a robust construction, well-engineered design, and sufficiently dimensioned components.
A massive sandwich steel construction houses the spindle and drive mechanism. The spindle features a flange that allows mounting of the standard working plate with radial grooves or a recommended universal chuck. Control system R3 is integrated into the positioner chassis and protected by a steel cover with the polycarbonate glass cover against splashes of welded metal.
This rotary positioner is characterized by a robust construction, well-engineered design, and sufficiently dimensioned components. A high-quality stepper drive ensures perfectly smooth and constant rotational speed.
The spindle tilting lever mechanism is powered by an asynchronous motor combined with a massive lifting gearbox with a motion screw. The mechanism allows the tilt to be adjusted within a range of 0° - 90°, even under load, to ensure the optimal welding or mounting position.
Operation of the positioner can be made easier by using the foot controller for proportional speed regulation, which allows the spindle rotation speed to be adjusted during welding. A hand controller is another alternative for remote control of the positioner. In addition to controlling the rotation speed, both the foot controller and hand controller may include a selector for changing the rotation direction.
This rotary positioner is equipped with digital control system R3, specially designed by HST CREATIVE for circumferential welding and effective automation of this process. The positioner also has a controlled output for switching the welding source arc ON.
