ARCHER 420 is heavy duty rotary welding positioner of stand design for floor placement with 905 mm working height and maximum working load of 420 kg. It goes about power-full working station for almost unlimited hard work and repeatable welding in industry of all sectors even with high hourly loading. This machine provides an ideal solution for medium and large weldments where smooth rotation, stable speed and clean welding result are important even with emphasis for hollow spindle to weld the long rod material.
Heavy and solid steel frame of industry standard carries structure of huge spindle with through hole of 108 mm to be possible to comfortably weld as well the long rod or tube materials. Spindle solution has a flange allows to conveniently use working plate with recommended diameter of 650 mm or as well as 315 mm universal chuck with through hole of 108 mm. There is as well the possibility to use hollow spindle to equip the machine with integrated system for divorcing of inert gas through the spindle.
Control system R3 is integrated into the machine chassis and protected by steel cover with the polycarbonate glass cover against the splash of welded metal. Rotary positioner is equipped with quality stepper drive and back-lash free planetary gearbox guarantees perfect smoothness and constant rotate speed even under eccentric loads by welded product to achieve a consistent weld around the entire circumference of the product. Due to the precise combination of stepper drive, planetary gearbox and digital controlling this positioner can guaranteed the returning always to the same home point without any deviation.
The work with positioner can be easier while using the foot controller for speed proportional regulation which allows to correct the speed of spindle rotation during welding. Hand controller is another alternative for the remote control of the positioner. In addition, to control the speed of rotation both, the foot control and hand controller, may include a selector for the changing of rotation direction.
The spindle has variable tilt features 0 - 90° ensuring the optimal welding position. Tilting of spindle is driven by asynchronous motor and controled comfortably by the buttons from the machine front.
The positioner has integrated anchors points for the installation of supporting column which enables to equip this positioner with the advanced system of welding arm. The welding arm has pneumatic controlling and three degrees of position adjustment.
At the end of the welding arm there is precise mechanical cross head of the torch position two axes adjustment in the range of +/- 15 mm with backlash-free structure and with the possibility of rotation the torch by +/- 90° and tilting in the range of +/- 20°, both with position locking in a steps.
This rotary positioner is equipped with digital control system R3 specially designed by HST CREATIVE for circumferential welding and successful automation of this process, the positioner also has controlled output for switching ON the welding source arc.
