POTTER 50 is a compact rotary welding positioner of a table design with a 370 mm working height and a maximum working load of 50 kg. It is a simple but highly effective positioner with a specific design for basic welding works of rather small products in metal workshops or medium-sized industrial enterprises.
An efficient and reliable steel construction carries the spindle which allows using the appropriate working plate or universal chuck comfortably. This rotary welding positioner is equipped with a quality stepper drive and digital controlling which guarantees perfect smoothness and constant rotate speed when welding to achieve a consistent weld around the entire circumference of the product.
Control system R3 is integrated into the machine chassis and protected by a steel cover with the polycarbonate glass cover against the splash of welded metal. The positioner has a table design for placement on the working table.
The work with the positioner can be easier while using the foot controller for speed proportional regulation which allows correcting the speed of spindle rotation during welding. A hand controller is another alternative for the remote control of the positioner. In addition, to control the speed of rotation, both the foot control and hand controller may include a selector for changing the rotation direction.
The spindle has variable tilt features of 0 - 110° ensuring the optimal welding position. The tilting is possible to change manually in steps by a locking pin.
The positioner has integrated anchors points for the installation of a supporting column which enables equipping this positioner with the advanced system of a welding arm. The welding arm has pneumatic controlling and three degrees of position adjustment.
At the end of the welding arm, there is a precise mechanical cross head of the torch position two axes adjustment in the range of +/- 15 mm with a backlash-free structure and with the possibility of rotating the torch by +/- 90° and tilting in the range of +/- 20°, both with position locking in steps.
This rotary positioner is equipped with digital control system R3 specially designed by HST CREATIVE for circumferential welding and successful automation of this process; the positioner also has a controlled output for switching ON the welding source arc.
